Access 1000 WMS executes as one or more client programs on desktop PCs. The RF version requires a minimum of two PCs, one for Administrative functions and one to drive the RF network for warehouse activity. Multiple Administrative or RF control PCs are supported by the system.
The Batch version can be supported on a single PC, or multiple PCs in the network can be used.
Event-driven transaction activity between the business computer and Access 1000 is recommended if warranted by the volume of transactions. The event-driven interface requires a dedicated PC in either the RF or Batch system. We refer to this PC as the "Gateway." The system supports multiple Gateway PCs when it is necessary to concurrently interact with more than one business computer.
On-demand transaction activity between the business computer and Access 1000 is supported from the Administrative PC.
As dictated by the level of warehouse activity, selected processing functions can be configured to execute on additional client PCs or on the Windows NT or Windows 2000 Server. This capability resolves any potential problem with response time at the RF hand-held for higher-volume environments.
